This gate is the entrance to Chinatown.
There is a large Chinese population in Vancouver which at one time was contained in the downtown area of the city. however today jt has migrated to other communities, there the malls and shops advertise their wares in Mandarin or other oriental language. Restaurants are in all areas and they are good! Rule of thumb-if you see Chinese folk dining in the restaurant -the food is good!

Visited the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden which is situated in the heart of
Vancouver's Chinatown.It is the FIRST full-scale classical garden constructed outside of China.
A goose swims in the pool located in the centre of the garden,
The architecture represent the Ming dynast classical design.
The pond reflects the buildings rocks ans trees,
It is intentionally cloudy, using a special clay lining
to intensify the reflections
These stones were imported from China,
The garden n the midst of the city! A tranquil respite!
